Introduction training on site, in Simcenter STAR-CCM+
We hereby invite you to participate in Volupes introduction training in Simcenter STAR-CCM+. The training is divided into two full days (four sessions) on site at Volupe in Gothenburg.Â
Training agenda
In this training you learn how to navigate in the software, as well as understanding the fundamentas behind this multi-physics tool. The sessions are alternating between theory, practical examples and work shops.
Training overview
Session 1: First a live demonstration of how to set up a case in Simcenter STAR-CCM+ will be provided. General theory for CFD simulations will be covered, and for the work shops we will focus on the embedded CAD tool, 3D-CAD, to create our own geometries and fluid volume.
Session 2: The strong tool Surface wrapping, together with meshing, will be in focus for this session both in theory and with work shops.
Session 3: In the third session you will run a steady state simulation, by setting up a work shop simulation. Post-processing will be discussed and also practiced.
Session 4: In the last session we will cover transient simulations, but in theory and by a work shop (using overset mesh). There is also some room for customized material, if there is something you are extra interested in.
Time schedule (per day): 8.30-16:30 CET
Cost: 1400 EUR
Prerequisites: Simcenter STAR-CCM+ installed (preferable), engineering background (previous experience of CFD simulations will ease the learning process).
If you are interested in participating in this Volupe course, please contact the instructor of the course Johan Bernander (+46 702 951 831)Â or the Volupe technical lead Carl Stenson (+46 766 336 599).
